Straub Kailua was not helpful. I have been living in the area for only 2 months and have symptoms of an infection. I tried twice to speak to someone at Staub. The first time, they were polite, professional and demonstrated excellent customer service by taking my name, date of birth and number to call me back by 3pm if they had something available. I asked if I should call them to check on it, and the receptionist replied that they would call me. I did not receive a returned phone call. The second time I called, I was put on hold for a long time. When the receptionist finally answered, I explained that I was a new patient, seeking treatment for a possible infection, and that I have valid federal insurance for the doctors at that location. The receptionist said she was looking for anything available. Then she asked if I could be put on hold again. I was on hold for another 10 -15 minutes before the same receptionist answered and asked if she could help me. When I said the SAME thing as before - she didn't even realize I was the SAME person and turned me away to another clinic. I'm sure Straub Kailua has many faithful patients, but I was thoroughly disappointed in the customer service as a potential new patient. Straub Kailua (or maybe just the receptionists) should tell BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) that Straub Kailua is not accepting new patients so BCBS can take Straub Kailua off of their website as a new patient friendly location.
