Love this place so much. I had my IUD put in here and everyone was nice and accomodating. The doctor who placed my was really understanding and made me feel comfortable and told me what she was doing. My mom goes here for her birth control and loves it as well.
This was one of the most positive experiences I've had at any gynecologist. Every person I talked to, doctor, nurse or receptionist, was extremely patient and kind. They were able to help me get the birth control I wanted even though I had low income and no insurance. They never made me feel like I was worth less because of it. Their goal was to help me, and they did. They treated me like a human being, not a number. The facility was spotless and up-to-date. I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else for my gynecological needs. Big thanks to everyone there!
I love this place. I lived in Georgia for a time before moving to Kent for college, and when I had to get a new birth control prescription in Ohio instead of Georgia, I made an appointment here. The staff were friendly and understanding, even when I told them I didn't have much money or insurance. Seeing a doctor and getting my first pack of bc pills only cost me $42 dollars. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for reproductive health care. And yes, their lobby is small.
Very unhappy! I was told certain things were free and that the majority of my visit would be covered by my insurance then to be hit with a bill larger than expected really sucks! I don't have the money to cover all the unexpected fees so now I have to figure out something. I've donated to this particular PP numerous times so to be caught off guard with this makes me so mad. I will not be back.
I asked multiple times prior to my appointment and during my appointment how much this would cost me. No one would even give me an approximation of how much my bill would be; all they would tell me was that I qualified for 70% off. A month later I got a bill for $150. I am a college student paying rent and buying food each month so this bill limited the amount of groceries I could buy for myself. In addition to this, the staff were all unpleasant and rude. The woman examining me had this disgusted look on her face the entire time and treated me like I was an idiot. I don't know about other Planned Parenthood locations, but I will never be going back to this one and I advise others to do the same.
So, I figured Planned Parenthood would be affordable...WRONG! They said I would get a 75% discount because of my income and it would still be $43-$75 just... Read more at Yelp.com.
