If you plan to come to this facility make sure you leave your whole day open. I scheduled an appointment a week and advance for 10:30 on a Tuesday I wait over an hour and a half. Facility is clean, staff is nice but that waiting is just beyond ridiculous- very unprofessional.
I decided to come to planned parenthood as it is way faster than getting an appointment at my primary doctor's office. I needed a blood test and made an appointment as instructed on the website only to find out when I got there that they don't even do blood tests. The woman (who was very cold) said I'd only get a urine test. I've already taken 5 at home urine tests, I don't need another. Which, by the way, costs $20. That's ridiculous considering I bought two packs of urine tests that have 3 tests each for about the same price. I went there as this is a time pressed issue just to be told by the woman at the front desk to go to my primary doctor anyway. She gave me the paperwork like she expected me to stay. I walked out and didn't give that place a cent. False advertisement wasted my time.
This was my first time at any of the planned parenthood locations and I had a great experience! Everyone was extremely accomadating and helpful with... Read more at Yelp.com.
Every single time I go into their building I feel very unwelcome and judged. The ladies are extremely rude and unprofessional. They cut you off in mid-sentence and never are offering any other sort of help. I'm unsatisfied with the customer service they provide and think managers need to look more into hiring a more friendly work environment. Especially in this building for women who are shy.
The wait is extremely long and not worth their service. I have had several bad experiences. The first time I was here I waited an hour and 15 minutes in the lobby and then another 45 minutes in the doctor's office to see the doctor. Another time, I came in because it says they accept walk ins and she literally said "oh yeah we do, just not today". It was not a special day.. it was a Thursday around 5pm. Today I came in at 3:30pm because I was in the area. My appointment is for 5:15pm but since I ALWAYS wait a minimum of an hour and a half I figured I may as well come in early. She told me they wouldn't be able to take me early and I said it was okay and that I would just wait. Then, she wouldn't even let me sign in. The lobby was very hot and she expected me to sit in that little area for almost 2 hours before letting me sign in so I left.
My first time going to a Planned Parenthood and my experience was above average. I drove all the way from the Maryvale center after they denied my appointment for being late because I had a difficult time finding the building. I didn't mind the wait time at the Mesa location because the doctor was really nice and comforting which made it worth every second of my time. She made the whole process seem really effortless and nothing to be nervous about (got the implant). The staff was overall friendly and answered all of my questions. The facility is also very clean. If you are patient and have a positive attitude, you will have a positive experience here.
