First eye doctor I've actually liked. On top of the fantastic service, great selection and prices, the welcoming hello and genuine help you'll get from Nina is unparalleled. She knew everything when it came to "the paperwork" and helped me pick out an awesome set of glasses. I can actually say I enjoy wearing glasses now. Thanks Nina and Omnivision!
Dr. Hochberg (Optometrist) and Nina (Optician/Practice Manager) are incredibly helpful. Dr Hochberg is very knowledgeable. Nina is so nice and helps find frames and goes out of her way to help in any way.
Dr. Hochberg (Optometrist) and Nina (Optician/Practice Manager) are simply wonderful, to say the least. Every time I go for a check up, Dr. Hochberg and his staff are very cordial and extremely thorough. I tend to be on the inquisitive side; the staff always answers my questions and explains each type of procedure and examination that is performed. Dr. Hochberg, with the use of his patient charting system, is able to keep track of what I have had done during past appointments and what procedures need to be performed during each visit. I bring this point up because I used to go to an Optometrist in downtown New Haven, which I didn't realize was subpar at the time. Nina always helps me with the right set of frames that fit my face as well as helping me to save as much money as possible. Fashion isn't my strong suit, but when I received my frames from Omnivision Eye Associates, I received countless compliments on my Ray Ban frames. I didn't even know there was such a thing as someone to assist in finding the right frames to fit your face. Nina should get a pay raise for her outstanding customer service and for her patience.
By far the best experience I have ever had visiting an eye doctor. Dr. Hochburg is skilled, patient, and responsive to all questions. He takes as long as is needed to address all medical concerns and ensure that the prescription is a perfect match for patient needs. The staff is helpful, cheerful, and competent in all matters ranging from scheduling to glasses recommendations. The frames prices are reasonable, and they have a great selection. The decor of the office and equipment all appear new and of great quality. Further, I waited for no more than 2-3 minutes each time for my appointment--I have never seen a doctor that gave such prompt, on-time service. I have been going to eye doctors for some 20 years, and I have never had such a great experience. My wife has herself decided to book an appointment and become a patient of Dr. Hochburg's as well. Highly recommended.
I would not recommend due to the way my husband was treated by office staff and Dr. Hochberg. We were very happy here for years. My husband began to have trouble with new contacts last spring and when he contacted the office he wouldn't hear back. When he would call them back to follow up again, they were very disorganized and didn't have a record of the previous call. They would give us a date that we should receive a call regarding a resolution to our questions and then again we wouldn't hear back. I even went through my husbands call log when we discussed it each time because I couldn't believe how long we repeatedly were waiting to hear back and I could see the repeated calls out to the office with no return call back, meanwhile he was in significant discomfort waiting to get the contact fixed and at one point a warranty expired from the time we called to request a replacement and when they finally got back to us. When he finally spoke directly to Dr. Hochberg, my husband appropriately let him know that he was very upset about the lack of follow up from the front desk and the consequences that this had. Shockingly, Dr. Hochberg asked my husband to find a new practice due to the "confusion" with the front desk. I imagine that he felt he was supporting his front desk staff, which in theory is nice but in reality he ignored that a real issue had taken place over months and therefore essentially said we were lying, he ignored that we have been VERY good customers, giving him countless referrals over the years. We are not difficult or argumentative people, just people who speak up when something goes wrong and we are treated poorly, for the years we went there and never had an issue which again was why it was so shocking that he didn't believe us and treated us in this manner. The outcome was very sad and uncharacteristic of Dr. Hochberg, but that doesn't excuse that it happened. My family, friends and I have cancelled any upcoming appointments and will not be returning there. We could have dealt with the front office making mistakes if they had rectified them, but we refuse to support a practice that doesn't believe it's patients.
