I'm a new patient at Hirshberg. The first time I went in, they told me that I need some extra work. I've always been told that my gums were a bit bad, but never all of this extra work. They took extra x-rays and then charged me for it. I called to complain and they took them off my bill (40.00 for one x-ray that I didnt ask for!)
I went back to get the procedure that they strongly recommended and they quoted one cost for the procedure. I had the procedure done and it was good - the staff treated me well. However, a month after the procedure they invoiced me for more than double the estimate. Can you imagine being estimated (of which they don't emphasize strongly enough) one figure and being billed for more than that amount after the procedure?
I called and spoke with Dana who then took 50% off my bill, recommending that I get a pre-treatment quote before any treatment. Well, trust me, if I continue going, I will be getting a pre-treatment quote on even basic cleanings. They have handled all of my questions in a professional manner, but the fact remains that I've had two billing questions that I've been going there less than 6 months. In the past, Ive never had billing problems with dentists. Id beware of this place unless you're prepared to hand out cash from your paycheck every week on dental costs...
