This practice delivers great dental care. Professional from front to back. So grateful to found them.
Highlands Smiles was the first dental practice that recommended a crown. First crown with Dr. Kara A required two additional visits for bite adjustments. Not only is this practice closed on Fridays - they also are closed for 2 weeks during holidays which was when the crown popped off (less than 1 year after the procedure). Paid out of pocket to have it glued back at a walk-in urgent care dentist. Second crown with Dr. Jennifer R. in March. Returned four times for bite adjustments with a hygienist/tech - never saw Dr. R after the initial visit/procedure. On visit three they took an X-ray and found nothing. Although improved - it still hurts - can't chew anything hard and sensitive to heat and cold. Cancelled my 6 mo cleaning appointment. Left a message that I would not return to the practice, still experiencing pain from the crown, not a satisfied patient. No response to my message other than receiving a check in the mail for $180 - over payment by my insurance co. Interesting they just realized the "over payment" 45 days after my last bite adjustment visit and the day I left the message that I was dissatisfied. Did I really need these crowns? I don't know but regret getting the second one at Highlands Smiles.
**If they pitch you on expensive work, get a second opinion first**
After moving to the highlands I decided to give these guys a try for a routine cleaning. The appointment went just fine, nothing to praise or complain about either way, but I was pretty surprised when they told me I needed about $1,400 worth of dental work (a crown + a few cavities). I requested a copy of the xrays and sent them to 2 separate dentists for their opinions, and they both came back independently saying the crown was unnecessary and at least 1 of the cavities was not in fact a cavity (or at least not worth filling at this time).
I ended up going back to my previous dentist in Denver and had the work completed for ~$300.
Love the staff and both Dentist's here. The vibe here is downright hip and cozy at the same time!
Thoughtful and professional staff and the Dentist's are equally as awesome. I actually enjoy coming here - whoever would say that about any Dentist office? So happy that Highland Smiles was recommended to me!
I hate the dentist. I've only ever had bad experiences, so I avoid going at all costs. It had been years since I had had a cleaning done so I looked long... Read more at Yelp.com.
Just moved to Denver & scheduled a cleaning. Front desk is friendly & got me back right on time. Kelly was my hygienist- she was very thorough and talked me through everything she was doing. Dr. Arnold was super nice. Two thumbs up for this office.
