For treatment metric summary, we include only non-donor fresh embryo treatments with patients younger than 35 years old to ensure we can compare all clinics apples-to-apples on the same metrics as success metrics vary widely by each age group. The "Number of cycles" metric for summary category includes all treatments.
This is a place which you barely hear about, but it is a wonderful surprise. It´s an old hospital, but now it is some kind of park/museum. It is really well preserved, and you can learn a little about its history and of Barcelona.
Must visit for those interested in architecture. Both a landmark among modernista buildings and a museum of medicine. Very good photo spot.
Check out the website for free open days there are a few open days a year. As for the interior, the buildings are beautifully decorated and all recently renovated. Amazing really. You can visit about half of the buildings, it was a very modern hospital back in the day and one of the best examples of Modernist architecture. Well worth a visit. (No tripods allowed, there are metal detectors also FWIW)
Worth a visit to see the art nouveau style of architecture and beautiful ceilings in the buildings. This place doesn't seem to attract the big crowds so you can take a nice visit in your own time without all the hassle. Disappointed that none of the old hospital equipment and furniture was there to see. I feel that this would add a lot to the visit, but overall a nice visit to see the architectural style.
While the grounds are lovely, in certain parts, we left a little bemused as to what they were trying to educate the public on. It's a hospital, no more no less. They have 10 buildings but half of them were closed to the public while we were there. Not something I would advise people to go out of their way to visit. We found the staff to be a little pretentious and too official, they need to relax and take a more friendly approach to the guests.
