I have been a patient with Dr. Susan Erk since 2005. I'm actually sad to say that I will no longer be seeing her. Not because of her, she is the best OB/GYN I've ever had, because of her staff. On November 19th 2017 I found out I was expecting through a home pregnancy test. The next day I was cramping bad and called the office to be seen. Whoever answered at 9:03a.m. that day told me I cannot be seen until I'm 8 weeks along. First of all I just found out the day before, no idea how far along I am, plus I am cramping so bad I was in tears. She refused me to come in the office, proceeded to send me to the nurses voicemail and I had to leave a message. After leaving a message I proceeded to call a different OB/GYN which told me to come in to be seen immediately. The nurse from Dr. Erk's office did not return my call until 2:46p.m. in the afternoon. I love Dr. Erk but the staff is terrible, inconsiderate, rude, and don't care about their patients. I'm sad to leave Dr. Erk but I can't except this kind of treatment from staff.
She was the doctor for my two children at birth at 2007 and 2009, she was really wonderful and caring doctor. I strongly recommend her and her husband as a doctor
The office doesn't have a human answering calls. Instead you get sent to voicemail land and good luck receiving a call back! I finally selected the 'Pay a Bill' option from the phone and got a human. Of course getting paid is #1 and everything else is not worth their effort to have a person talk to you. I don't care how great the doctors are, if the customer service sucks!!
Dr. Susan Erk is one of the best obgyns. She takes her time listening to you and is fully supportive of your decisions. Only downfall is the wait time can be long due to the staff spending time with other patients. I don't mind this since the staff is awesome. Quality over quantity wins.
They have been following up for a payment for a service taken by my wife—which has been already paid. Quite annoying to get mails from them every week asking for payments. We tried reaching them on call, which took us 100 attempts to get through as they never pick up. No EXEGERATION! The payment receipt was confirmed finally by them when we were able to get through finally. It turned out that initially they had entered the wrong birth date in their system, and so the records were not matched with the insurance company. Later when they did correct the system, the payment went through. We have a confirmation of payment made by the insurance company, YET we keep receiving mails from them asking for payments, which is quite annoying and unprofessional on their part
