I recently stated on a DDS plan, as my union changed to this new provider. I was skeptical that the new company would be helpful, as I am nervous around dentists to begin with. Well, the new company contacted my personal dentist and got him to join the plan. When I was recently told that I would need dental surgery, the customer service department recommended a dentist in my area that was exceptional. I could not thank them enough.
Okay, so here is my review. I do not understand why ANY Company, Corporation, Business which ever you would call it would select this carrier as an insurance for thier employees. I can only conclude that they could care less about thier employees and thier families dental health. I printed EVERY doctor that accepted this insurance in my area from the DDS site. I check EVERY doctors reviews on Yelp, Google, Zoc Doc (for those who had a review on ZD) every review site you name I I check it. It was a long and tedious process, but I completed it. To sum up my project. Every doctor listed has a star rating of 3 or less. None had above a three in my area. Every complaint reported old smelly offices, dingy offices, old equipment, office needs updating, utensils look old, rusted. Suspicions of not cleaning utensils. REALLY!!!! In this day and age modernized dentist are all over why would you guys sign up these old facilities to care for people. If they don't think enough of us and thier practice to update the facilities and the equipment, HOW MUCH OF THIER KNOWLEDGE OF MODERN DENTISTRY HAVE THEY UPDATED??? I wish my husband's company would reconsider there selection of dental coverage and go with another carrier. This DDS is awful and very disappointing.
We recently got DDS inc insurance and they sent us to their crack dentist. After waiting for a Month for approval the tooth has completely fallen apart and needs more expensive and serious repair. We still didn't know we had approval so we called and were talked to like garbage by the women that answered the phone (after being on hold for 30 minutes!) I was then transferred to the meanest and nasty woman named Joirah Robinson. She was irritating and incompetent. She was completely unprofessional and rude! Never should you call, sign up, or use this company!!! They will only send you to half rate dental clinics that give awful service and if you call for help you will be belittled and talked to like garbage by their employees. After being transferred to a manager that seemed more even tempered we were able to voice our disappointments but she clearly saw no importance to our distress and basically told us there was nothing she could do. This company is awful!
