Most of the staff are rude here especially when you call for your prescription. Listen i know you don't want me to take my business elsewhere but I personally don't like having to ask a employee for each frame i want to try on. There are other companies like Davis vision that allow you to try at your own pace. Being that this Cohens is located in to mall its very busy rushed and not valued in customer service.
Everyone at this location was very nice to me. They said my glasses would be ready n 4 days but they were ready n two! I was nervous after reading the reviews but i had a great experience!
This place is horrible came in here with a coupon for progressive lenses and glasses for 150 and some how ended up with a 800 bill after we told the guy we couldnt spend much on frames.. so ended up just getting a regular pair of glasses through the insurance, my mom was getting bad headecks so we came back in and he didn't do her script correct maybe cause he's so old and can barly see him self so he gave her another one well he didn't give her the correct script on that one either and I ordered glasses for her and she was getting headecks again went to a different place and they said cohens put her script too high no wonder she's getting headecks! I call up corporate and they don't even care enough to call back! Your frames are more money then there even worth you have frames that are on the actual designers websites on clearance already. You lost business because all you care about is making money!
I went last Year No problem ,I'm diabetic and I need to use my Insurance to pay - I received my eye exam and glasses all was fine,I go back yesterday 9/19/17 about 2:40pm and I clearly say I need my Yearly Diabetic Eye Exam and if it's time my New Glasses ,I hand the lady my ins. card she tells me its to soon for my free glasses and I would have to pay so I ask how much ,then I ask well can I get my Eye Exam she tells me it would be fifty dollars,so I leave and then I call my insurance company- they tell me yes my eye exam is covered but the glasses are not ,I say ok Thank you, so I call the store and this same lady answers the phone I say what happened and that insurance sez I'm covered for the Exam and she responds rudely and tells me "You Never asked for the Diabetic Exam " I said "yes I did " then she starts telling me that I need to go to an ophthalmologist .Not only was I annoyed by this women lying but this women does not know anything about where she works.
Cohens optical at smith haven mall is fantastic. I needed last minute contacts and they turned it around for me in just hours. Sherry was very professional... Read more at Yelp.com.
I recently bought a beautiful pair of Tiffany glasses from Alicia at Cohen's. With your purchase of designer frames, you receive a free pair of frames as well.
I haven't bought a new pair of glasses in about 7 years, partially because I wear glasses everyday and it's hard for me to find a pair that "feels right", also because I love the current glasses that I have. Unfortunately I sat on them, cracking the lenses, and I decided I need a change.
Alicia kindly assisted me as I tried on about 50 pairs of glasses, before ultimately finding the Tiffany ones. Overall I had a great experience and I would recommend everyone ask for Alicia when you go there. She was so patient. After finding the Tiffany frames I tried on another 20 or so frames, before choosing the free pair that strongly resembled the glasses I had been wearing for the past 7 years.
Cohen's has a plethora of frames to choose from, and I absolutely love the two I chose. Dr. Zara gave me a quick eye exam and was lovely. The rest of the staff were both knowledgeable and friendly, and I feel confident recommending Alicia's assistance to anyone looking for new frames, better lenses, contacts.. etc.
