Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:19-20

If you are like I am, you tend to talk about what you see and hear. We say things like, “Did you hear about…?” or “Did you see the news last night…?” or “Did you see that video on YouTube?” It’s true; we like to talk about what we see and hear. And if this is true, then we would do well to consider what we are looking at and listening to. Are we taking time to listen to God? If our answer is yes, then our conversation will be filled with those things being talked about in heaven. Is the direction of our lives moving toward God? If yes, then our conversations will be filled with what we see Him doing. Why? Because we talk about what we see and what we hear. God’s dream and destiny for each of us and for our church is that we would cause “…many to see and fear and put their trust in the LORD!” (Psalm 40)

What have you seen Jesus do; what have you heard Jesus say?
What does your life look like as a fruitful fisher of men?
What things are keeping you from being a fruitful fisher of men?
